Turning Lamebos Into Rainbows

Rambling Goat and Nonsense Unicorn present… The Awesome Person's Guide to Life

Sometimes you just have to grin

Ever had a moment when you’re playing a video game or using an app and think ‘uhh what?!’ I know some are meant to be funny but others are bad translation issues or just random occurrences.

I found a bunch of screenshots and photos I’d taken of some of these moments a while back. I always send them to NU and we both cackle like idiots (it doesn’t take much to amuse us, hehe!) but seeing as I’ve found them again, I’ll share them on here.

I can’t even remember the name of this one?

The Sims

Well they simulated my reality pretty well.

My language app Duolingo (I really recommend it if you want to learn another language, its great. And no I’m not getting paid to say that – I wish!). Sorry for the bad quality, this was very early on when I didn’t know how to screenshot! 😛 It’s German if you’re wondering 🙂

Words with Friends

I did also have ‘sucfanz’ but it WP is having a moment..

In german the weird looking 'B' means 'ss' and wasser means water. NU likes to call beer 'piss water' too - such blasphemy! 😛

Life loves to set me up for its own entertainment. But instead of me hiding these awkward moments, I plan on sharing them for my own (and possibly your) amusement. Now who's laughing, life?

  1. These are great! I love to rub rub too 🙂

My (German) step father quotes the bavarian purity law to all new visitors to his house. Even Johnny Id had to listen to it (and I’d warned him in advance, so it was pretty darn funny). The man loves his beer!

  2. Hamtaro!! That game was weird haha!

  3. One of the things I love to read is how the Japanese manage to mangle their English translations. Go to a website, ‘Engrish.com’ and you will get a good belly laugh.
