F-easter

Well the Churchies actually did something good. They somehow persuaded the government to give us a long weekend to eat chocolate.

I’m sure I’m missing a few bits and bobs from that story but after 13 years of attending a Catholic school and being told god is ‘man woman and thing’ (including a chair – yes this legitimately happened), I’ve lost any sort of interest on the matter. And am now Buddhist.

And I totally believe each to their own so don’t judge me for watching The Life of Brian and loving it more than the bible, stuffing a chocolate bunny down my neck (and wondering where the correlation is?!) and taking this weekend off work to drink and play Xbox.

If its any consolation I don’t really understand the Queens Birthday holiday either. Or why Christmas has become this stressful last minute rush to the shops where we spend all our money and which one year had my mum crying for ‘not buying enough for everyone’. I’ve chosen to just appreciate days off, good friends, good times, family and the fact that I don’t know why a lot of stuff happens in life.
